Bosman Wines at a glance...

Since 1707, our family have always believed in respecting the land and the people that farm the land. Over time, we have grown to be a leading producer of Fairtrade wine from South Africa, devoted to responsible handcrafted wine.

This is an 8th generation family story, from vine to wine, devoted to responsible handcrafted winemaking.

They re-entered the South African wine arena in 2007, after a 50 year period that no wine was made in their 260 year old cellar. During this 50 year period, they focussed on their vine nursery, Lelienfontein. The Bosman family have been grafting vines since 1888 on their farm Lelienfontein, giving their wine making team access to over 50 different grape varieties growing on their farms of the wine making team can make their wines from.

Their farms are located in Wellington, Hermon (near Riebeeck Kasteel) and Hermanus and each region is planted with grapes that are best suited to the terroir and then brought to the cellar in Wellington where the winemaker Corlea Fourie crafts these beautiful wines.

At the 2015 Drinks Business Green Awards runner up for The Ethical Company of the year and winner of the 2012 IWC Fairtrade Trophy, Bosman Family Vineyards has firmly established themselves as one of the leading ethical producers of premium wine.
